About the project ‘500ARTISTS’
‘500ARTISTS’ is an international art project that unites artists from all over the world. The goal is to collect 500 original works in three techniques (acrylic, oil, watercolor), create three large-scale canvases and present them in Chicago galleries. This is not just an exhibition - it is a living, constantly expanding installation that reflects a cross-section of contemporary art, where artists demonstrate their skill and recognizable style, each painting will become a "calling card".
Each canvas consists of 500 paintings of 2.5 x 3.5 inches (6.4 x 8.9 cm) in horizontal orientation. From the launch of the project, the canvases will be open to the public and will be regularly supplemented by the curator as new works arrive.
The project will end with a hybrid auction - an offline event in a gallery or auction house and an online auction, where the canvases will be sold…
